WHAT TO EXPECT—

Each week, we gather in our gently heated studio—a dedicated space to unwind, recharge, and reconnect with your body as the week begins.

Our practice will draw upon the wisdom of Black liberation movement leaders, authors, artists and scholars, inviting their words on care, love, liberation, connection and embodiment to guide our breath and movement. This series is a journey of progressive unwinding and intentional reconnection.

Each Monday practice is designed to serve as your weekly anchor, a consistent rhythm of release, rest and renewal.


Our Weekly Rhythm:

1. Arrival & Centering: We begin with a guided centering practice to release mental clutter and help you arrive fully on the mat.
2. Conscious Breathwork (Pranayama): Simple, intentional breathing techniques to calm the nervous system and cultivate inner warmth.
3. Gentle, Intelligent Flow: A mindful, heated yoga practice focused on mobilizing the spine, opening tight hips and shoulders, and releasing accumulated tension. Expect supportive alignment cues and options to honor your body each week.
4. Deep Release & Integration: Longer-held, nourishing stretches and supported restorative postures to soothe muscles and quiet the mind.
5. Sacred Pause (Savasana): We complete our practice with a restorative rest enhanced by our signature chilled lavender towel, allowing the benefits of your practice to integrate, leaving you feeling refreshed and aligned.

This series offers a journey of progressive unwinding. As the weeks unfold, you’ll build a deeper familiarity with your body’s needs, cultivating strength and flexibility while developing sustainable breath and centering practices that leave you feeling balanced, clear, and prepared for the week ahead. Series Policies

To create a relaxed and consistent experience for all participants, please review the policies below before booking. Click the arrow to expand each section.

 
 
  • Cancellations: A minimum 24‑hour notice is required to cancel your booking without penalty.

    • Cancellations (less than 24 hours) and no‑shows will incur a $15 late‑cancellation / no‑show fee and loss of class credit.

    • Cancellations (within 24 hours) will have class credit restored.

    • Fees are automatically charged to the card on file.

  • Drop‑In Policy: A limited number of drop-in spots are released 1-week prior to each class.

    • Waitlist: If a class is full, join the waitlist. You’ll be notified by text/email if a spot opens 2 hours before class.

    • Weather/Studio Cancellations: If we cancel a class you’re registered for, your pass credit will be refunded to your account. You may use this credit to book another available class

    • Full Series Participants can pre‑book all 8 weeks in advance, ensuring your preferred spot each week.

    Pass Validity: All class passes (Drop‑In and Series Packs) are valid only for the current 8‑Week Series. Unused classes do not carry forward to future sessions.

    Non‑Refundable & Non‑Transferable: All purchases are final and cannot be refunded, credited, or transferred to another person or series.

  • First Priority -Weather/Studio Cancellations:

    Our two scheduled makeup days (March 17 and March 24 at 12pm) are reserved as makeup days for any classes that are cancelled due to inclement weather or instructor illness/emergency. If we cancel a class, it will be held on the next available makeup day. Series pass holders will automatically be enrolled in the next available makeup day class and must cancel within 24 hours of class if they cannot attend. Drop-in pass holders impacted by the same class cancellation may be eligible to use their returned class credit to enroll in the makeup class if a series holder cancels their reservation.

    Second Priority-Personal Absences:

    If the scheduled makeup day(s) (March 17 and March 24) are not needed for weather/studio cancellations, series pack holders may use those days to make up for class(es) they may have missed due to personal reasons. In this instance bookings will be opened 72 hours before class and spots will be first-come, first-served via online booking using Momence.

    • Mat Rentals: Mats are available for $5 per class or included with the Series Pass. You’re welcome to bring your own mat if preferred.

    • Yoga Mat Towel Rentals: Mat towels are available to ensure heated practice hygiene and safety for $3 per class or included with the  Series Pass. If you are using a studio mat, a towel is required. You’re welcome to bring your own mat towel if preferred.

 

Meet your instructor

Tamira's approach to yoga is rooted in curiosity and deep presence. She enjoys creating practice spaces that invite students to connect with a sense of homecoming and refuge in the present moment, both on and off the mat. She completed her 200hr RYT Hatha Yoga training with Paul and Sommer Sobin at Thousand Petals Yoga in 2017.

What inspires Tamira's personal yoga practice is the opportunity to embrace the idea of starting anew. She believes in the transformative power of yoga to meet individuals where they are in their lives, fostering a deep sense of presence, grounding and connection.

Gentle Stretch

Heated Class 75°F-80°F

In this class, you will engage in slow, deliberate movements designed to enhance flexibility, relieve tension, and promote mindfulness. Each session will guide you through a series of gentle stretches, breathing techniques, and basic yoga postures that encourage relaxation and connection with your body.

Whether you’re looking to unwind, increase your mobility, or enjoy some me time, this Gentle Stretch Yoga class provides a supportive environment to nurture both your physical and mental well-being.
